Knox College announces an opening in Practical Theology and Ministry with expertise in Christian faith formation through the life cycle, preaching and communication, and spiritual and/or ministry (educational, pastoral, and social with laity as focus) formation.
An earned Ph.D./Th.D. in an area of practical theology is required. Experience in congregational life and ministry, with an understanding of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, the diversity of and within its congregations and ministries, and an ability to work with church leadership is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will possess an excellent record of scholarship and teaching or promise of such. Research and teaching that is informed by intercultural studies strongly preferred. Lay membership, designation or ordination, or eligibility for designation to Diaconal Ministry or ordination to Ministry of Word and Sacraments in The Presbyterian Church in Canada is strongly preferred.
