The Rev. Dr. Andrew Irvine passes away; Knox College expresses condolences
The Rev. Dr. Andrew Robertson Irvine passed away April 28, 2024. He was a 1966 Master of Divinity graduate of Knox College. Andrew a cherished member of the Knox community and served as an adjunct lecturer until 2017, leaving an indelible mark on our institution through his dedication and passion for education.

The Rev. Dr. Andrew Robertson Irvine, aged 74, of Caledonia, Ontario died on April 28, 2024 following a brief illness.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 53 years, Suzanne and their children Sandy (Sarah), Stephen (Jenn) and Sarah (Brian), his greatly loved grandchildren Cody, Owen, Lauren, Alastair, Hannah, Thomas, Jade and Avery, his brother David (Kathleen) and his sister-in-law Janet.
Throughout a life of serving Christ, Andrew touched many lives – first as a social worker in SW Nova Scotia, then called to ministry as a pastor in several churches in Nova Scotia and Scotland and later as a Professor of Practical Theology at Acadia University, McMaster University and Knox Divinity College. He also served as a Board member of Mission Services and was the Chair of the military chaplaincy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Chedoke Presbyterian Church, 865 Mohawk Road, Hamilton, ON on Sunday May 5th at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Mission Services, Hamilton .
