| Knox College itself also holds a unique place in Canadian soccer history, with its 1878 team recognized as the first Canadian Soccer Champions—a legacy that makes this moment even more meaningful.
Now, over a century later—and with the world’s game returning to Toronto—we are pleased to carry this tradition forward with this special afternoon service.
As the city welcomes fans from around the globe, Soccer Sunday at Knox College offers a space to pause, reflect, and connect beyond the pitch. It is an opportunity to celebrate the unity, joy, and shared humanity that soccer fosters across cultures and nations. We’ll celebrate the teamwork, discipline, and joy that soccer fosters in our lives and communities.
You do not need to be religious to attend. Come as you are—wear your team colours, bring friends, your family, and/or teammates, and be part of a moment that connects sport, history, and community!
All are welcome.
Location: Knox College Chapel, Toronto
Date & Time: Sunday, June 14, 3:00 PM
