Marjorie Durnan passes away — Knox College expresses condolences
Knox College is sorry to announce the passing of Marjorie Grace Durnan on December 1, 2021. Marjorie was the receptionist at Knox College for many years, and many students remember her very fondly. Many kept in touch with her for years.
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Marjorie Grace Durnan at the good age of 90 at Birchmount Hospital on December 1, 2021. Predeceased by brother Grant during the Second World War, sister Barbara and survived by brother Ross of Etobicoke. Marjorie was born, raised and lived a full and happy life in Toronto. Her years as receptionist at Knox College were an especially happy time for her and she touched the lives of many students, some of whom kept in touch with her after her retirement. Marj loved, followed, and served Jesus and was transformed by that relationship throughout her life. She faithfully and routinely prayed for her extended family and was especially interested in the younger generations of the family. A celebration of life will be held on a date to be determined.
