The Robert Laidlaw Memorial Lecture series presents:
Public Theology and Social Justice
Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at 1:30pm
A lecture by Sebastian Chang Hwan Kim, Executive Director of the Korean Studies Centre, Professor of Theology and Public Life at Fuller Theological Seminary, and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Public Theology.
The lecture will be followed by a question and answer time with Dr. Kim and a panel discussion; Prof. Charles Fensham (Knox College) will chair the panel, and Prof. Rebekah Smick (Institute for Christian Studies), Prof. Natalie Wigg-Stevenson (Emmanuel College), and Prof. Nam Soon Song (Knox College) will respond.
Join us for a fascinating presentation on public theology as a critical, reflective, and reasoned engagement of theology with academy, church, and society — for the sake of justice for the marginalized in our society.
The event is free, but registration is required. Register by completing the short form below. Can’t attend in person? Watch the live stream! Live stream participants may ask questions of Dr. Sebastian Kim by emailing dongha.kim@utoronto.ca.
