Application for Admission

To apply to Knox College, please complete and submit the following form. If you are unable to complete this form online, please contact Knox’s Recruitment Officer and Admissions Counsellor at megan.shin@utoronto.ca.

Application deadlines: 

For Fall admission: May 31 

For Winter Admission: International Students – September 30, Domestic Students – October 31

If English is not your first language and you have not completed a previous degree in English, you must demonstrate competency in English by taking a TOEFL and achieving the stated minimum result.

TOEFL – paper format, overall 580 and 5 in Test of Written English; computer based, overall 237 and 5 in essay writing; internet format, 93 overall and at least 22 in each of the speaking and writing sections.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) required score 7.0
International ESL-Academic Preparation Level 60 offered by School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto. Required score: B

Applicants are required to provide transcripts for all post-secondary institutions attended. Transcripts are to be sent directly by the issuing institution to Knox's Recruitment Officer and Admissions Counsellor. They must be signed by the Registrar of the issuing institution and must bear the impressed seal of the issuing institution.

Enclose a 100 word statement stating how you think that study at Knox will help you prepare for ministry or your interest in theological study.
Please give the names and full addresses of 2 Referees. For M.Div. applicants one referee should be your current minister. Other potential referees would include: a professor; employer; elder; etc.
