Reporting to the Registrar & Director of Enrolment Management, the Admissions Counsellor & Recruitment Coordinator (ACRC) represents and promotes Knox College for the purpose of increasing student enrolment in both Basic Degree and Graduate Degree programs. The ACRC serves as a front-line student services professional in responding to the inquiries and requests of prospective students and their primary influencers.
The ACRC is a highly motivated, client-facing, objectives-oriented individual who will identify and be involved in the development and implementation of effective and innovative strategies and solutions for student recruitment. The ACRC is likewise involved in the development and implementation of recruitment activities and events. S/he will utilize various recruitment strategies including but not limited to in-person presentations, on-line, web and social media networks, and other emerging technologies. S/he will participate in the development of promotional materials to communicate with both broad and targeted audiences, administer and maintain a database for admissions tracking, and provide ongoing support and guidance for inquirers and applicants.
The ACRC must have strong inter-personal skills, independent judgment, and an excellent sense of diplomacy, and sensitivity to diversity. S/he must be able to work under pressure, adhere to deadlines, and be able to adapt to fluctuating priorities. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
The Admissions Counsellor & Recruitment Coordinator (ACRC) serves as a member of the Enrolment Management team in the Academic Office, working directly with the Registrar & Director of Enrolment Management and the Assistant Registrar. By extension the ACRC also works with the Academic Dean, Director of Graduate Degree Studies, and the Director of Experiential Learning related to providing support and information for Inquirers+ (includes inquirers, visiting students, prospective students, applicants, and their primary influencers).
